Bill Scherr
Bill Scherr is the director of sport and a board member at Chicago 2016, as well as the chairman of the board of World Sport Chicago. Scherr was a three-time All-American wrestler at the University of Nebraska and is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Scherr won five consecutive world-class medals during his career, including a World Championship title in 1985 and an Olympic bronze medal in 1988. Professionally, Scherr is a vice president in Goldman Sachs’ private wealth management group. His twin brother, Jim, is a fellow 1988 Olympian in wrestling and is the former CEO of the United States Olympic Committee.
